Meet the Counselor
My name is Alina Kessler. I am the School Counselor for Charlottesville Catholic School.
I received my Undergraduate degree in Psychology from Shepherd University and my Master of Counselor Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
My husband, two children and I reside in Orange. We are active members of the Church of the Incarnation. I was raised in a large family where education and time together were the two most important things. My mother always said that I would be a permanent student and would never leave school. I guess she was right! Working with children and their families brings me great joy and I am delighted to be working with you and yours.
My program is faith oriented and will reflect the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. It will include classroom guidance, small group counseling, and working with students on an individual basis. As your school counselor, I will work with all students in order to provide academic, emotional, and social support for the students here at school.
I have a liberal communication policy. If you need me, please call, email or send a note with your student and we will arrange a meeting time. I understand that many of us are working parents and time is precious. I will do my best to accommodate your schedule and be readily prepared with resources and information to help!
