Why Choose Charlottesville Catholic School?
At Charlottesville Catholic School, our fundamental task is educating the whole person by integrating Christian values with learning in daily life. Recognizing the uniqueness and individuality of children, we guide them to discover and develop their God-given gifts.
Charlottesville Catholic School is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Catholic Education Association. Charlottesville Catholic School was awarded the Blue Ribbon Award of Excellence in Education in 2005 by the US Department of Education, and is being considered for the 2014 award. Charlottesville Catholic students consistently rank among the highest in the country on standardized tests. We are proud that most of our graduates move on to perform in advanced level courses with the top 10% of high school students.
A faith filled education begins with the family and grows through the community. School families are encouraged to participate in weekly liturgies and in a variety of community service efforts. Recognizing that our community extends beyond Charlottesville Catholic School to our local parishes, our students often serve in parish choirs and as altar servers. Students do have to meet a required number of service hours, which can be achieved through classroom and school wide community service initiatives, as well as through outside organizations and events.
