The Charlottesville Catholic School uniform is required for Grades K-8. No uniform is required for children in the Pre-Kindergarten program.
 USED UNIFORM SALE: will be held the last Thursday and Friday of each month from 1:45 – 2:45pm in the school hallway leading to the chapel. Each item costs $5.00 with proceeds benefitting the school library. (There is also a "Used Uniform Connection" on the web site that lets parents post uniform items they want to buy, sell, trade, or give away)
Changes/Clarifications for 2009/2010

- PE Uniform is required for grades 5, 6, and 7 beginning October 1. Uniform can be purchased through Rivanna Gear and Apparel. Click CCS under "speciality stores" on the right side of their homepage or visit their store in the Pantops Shopping Center.
- The CCS Fleece CANNOT be worn during the day on Formal Dress Days. (If student wants outerwear during a formal dress day, they will need to wear one of the sweater options).
- All tights and girls knee socks MUST come from Rose Uniforms
- Middle School Girl's Skorts can again be purchased from Lands' End
- Elementary Girls are requried to always wear shorts under their jumper.
- Boys may wear polo shirt (long or short sleeve) on regular dress days. (this was accidently left off the redesigned pages earlier in the summer.)
- Shoe Requirement Clarifications:
- Dress shoes must be dark blue, dark brown, or black
- Sneakers must be white, blue, or black with conservative markings (no lights or florescent colors).
- Elementary Students can wear sneakers any time (even on formal days) and can wear dress shoes any time except during PE.
- Middle School students can wear sneakers when they are wearing shorts/skorts, but must wear dress shoes* when wearing slacks/skirts. (Students must wear sneakers during PE)
- *There is one black sneaker option which can count as a "dress shoe" that middle school students can wear with slacks and skirts on non-formal days. These particular shoes can be purchased through Rivanna Gear and Apparel. No other sneakers will be allowed with slacks and skirts and students must wear formal dress shoes on formal days.

Sock Requirement Clarifications:
- Socks should always be above the ankle and should never have any picture, logos (ex. Nike, Polo, etc.), lace, or colored designs.
- All Girls must wear navy knee highs or navy tights from Rose Uniforms on formal dress days (and middle school girls must wear them whenever wearing skirt).
- All students must wear solid white socks when wearing sneakers with shorts.
- Elmentary students may wear white above the ankle socks or navy blue socks with pants.
- Middle school students must wear solid navy socks when wearing long pants.

The Catholic School uniform symbolizes self discipline and association with the community, as well as each individual’s equality in the eyes of God. Charlottesville Catholic School students should wear their uniforms in a manner that reflects pride in themselves and in their school.
All students in grades K-8 are required to wear uniforms during the school day. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their children are appropriately dressed.
Occasionally, there will be a day of “free dress”. Parents are to make sure that their students are dressed in a respectful manner. All non-uniform clothing should reflect Christian values with respect to graphics, lettering and physical fit. Students dressed inappropriately will be required to change into suitable attire.
Our uniform suppliers are Rose Uniforms and Lands' End. All items must come from the required supplier: (except for the belt, boys dress socks, dress shoes, and white sneakers) Some items are noted as only through Roses. You need to identify CCS when placing your order with either company. This allows them to provide you with the correct items and logo as well as gives the school a financial credit. Outerwear: CCS fleeces and sweaters may be worn when indicated but are not required. Only uniform outerwear can be worn inside during the day – outwear for outdoors is not regulated.
Extra Notes:
Hems for all jumpers, shorts, skorts, and skirts must be no higher than 1 inch above the knee

- Navy Blue tights or Navy Blue knee high socks (must come from Rose Uniform)
- Sneakers or Dress Shoes
- Navy Sweater with CCS Emblem may be worn (not required)(no fleece)
- Navy blue knit bike shorts to be worn under jumper and should not extend below the hem of jumper
- Regular Dress Days:
- Jumper Option: Same as formal dress uniform but girls have added options:
- Micro or Polar fleece (with CCS Emblem)
- white above the ankle socks are option in addition to the tights and knee highs
- Slacks Option (year round regular dress days)
- Navy Blue slacks with black or brown belt (belt optional for K-1)
